Photoshop Elements 5 Hidden Tools
By Karl Peschel on Aug 2, 2007 in Photoshop, editing software
Photo editing software is a personal choice. A power user may opt for Lightroom and Photoshop CS2 or CS3, or you may be one of the people who just uses the software that came with the camera. For lots of folks, Photoshop Elements 5 is a nice in between choice since it integrates a good Organizer with a full Editor that has 75% of the power of PSCS.
I’ve used Photoshop for many years, stepping through v6, 7 and CS. I’ve started using PSE5 recently since it was inexpensive, had tools I was familiar with, and runs better on my laptop. While incessantly clicking through websites I (yeah, like you don’t!) came across Hidden Elements.
Here’s someone who is intimately familiar with the inner workings of Photoshop Elements since version 2. He’s created a group of tools that gets you access to things you’d never find, or methods you’d never think of. Even the set of free Photoshop Elements tools gives you one of the important things lacking in PSE5 – Layer Masks for ANY layer.
As I work in PSE5 more I’ll post more items about it.
