Strobist Talks With 17 YO Wonder
By Karl Peschel on Oct 19, 2007 in lighting
A few days ago David posted an interview he did with Joey Lawrence. This 17 year old Canadian photographer is a well accomplished band shooter who’s traveled to India and other destinations.
It’s amazing what this young photographer has already done. The mere fact that he’s been hired to shoot commercial work is incredible. He has a simple and direct style of shooting and lighting that’s worth looking at. Read the full article on Strobist here.
Be sure to visit Joey Lawrence’s website too. He’s got a DVD tutorial (that’s a little pricey) on his workflow from concept to finished PSD file. It contains Quicktime videos, jpg images, PS textures and actions and more. According to Strobist, the info on the DVD is quite useful for band, fine art, sports, and high school senior photographers.
After kicking around his website and blog, you’ll certainly be impressed with what this young man has done and can do. Perhaps it may even inspire you to go out and try something completely new and different. That’s how we photographers grow, through personal challenges.
