Just when everyone’s settling in to Elements 5, Adobe throws out an upgraded version. Photoshop Elements 6 is on the horizon and adds some nice functions. Now you just have to decide if you want to upgrade or not.

When working in Photoshop, you can use Layer Sets and Snapshots to save all your corrections up to that point. I’ve used Layer sets to do color and B&W versions of an image and have it all saved in one PSD file. Just turn on the set you want and then export or print.

Users of Photoshop CSx, Elements and Paintshop Pro can all benefit from a cool filter from OprikverveLabs. Their VirtualPhotographer filter is available for nothing from their website. It has about 50 presets built in and lots of others you can grab from them. They’ve recently updated it to be compatible with Vista.
